The SSI Equipment Techniques Program teaches you how to choose, maintain and store your Total Diving System. This ensures performance and increases the longevity of your equipment. You will earn the SSI Equipment Techniques Specialty certification.
When you became an Open Water Diver, you were introduced to the Total Diving System. This system contains a number of complex components that are designed to keep you safe and comfortable in an underwater environment.
Using a high-quality and properly maintained Total Diving System enhances your enjoyment of scuba diving and contributes to your comfort and confidence.
This program gives you the in-depth skills, knowledge and experience to properly maintain your equipment. This program does not provide you with the skills or training required to perform maintenance on your Delivery System or Buoyancy System. Our goal is to teach you the information required to care for your equipment between dives, and the simple skills and techniques that ensure you get as much enjoyment from your equipment as possible
